3 months ago Nest bedding changed the Nest Latex Hybrid.
Instead of wool woven into the cotton cover there is a foam. Also the latex was changed.
I tried the bed in the NY showroom and really liked the feel. I have a small frame (our bodies not the bed) and both my wife and I weigh under 130…so from what I have learned is that latex beds can feel too firm for some people.
Coming from a foam Bed from the original Bed in a Box that slept very hot. I decided I want to try latex…perhaps with coils…need to sleep cool and don’t like sinking in too much. The Nest bed did seem be a go in feel department. How cool it sleeps not being wool is another question. They say the latex and the coils and the thin layer of foam will still make it a cool sleeping bed.
(tried the Zenhaven bed…much too firm, heard the Avocado is firm, other side is too soft, Brentwood Ceder…firm)
This was a good medium but not too firm. Mostly a back sleeper. Sometimes side.
So what I am asking is…am I giving up quality and can I get a bed made with better quality components for the same money? (what other beds feel similar to the new Nest Latex Hybrid?)
Rather get a bed I like and not have to adjust it with toppers etc. Been there, done that.
Of course one could say “well…why not just get the Nest bed you tried and liked?”
I am about to. But before I make the order I want to see if there is a better option as I’ve read on this site about some of the other brands like Arizona Premium Mattress etc. I also like the idea of wool.
But its not a dealbreaker. Any input would be greatly appreciated. This involves as much research as I would do if I bought another guitar…yeah, the right bed is important!
