I have a Temperpedic Pro-Adapt that is 7 years old. It is still in really good condition but since developing fibromyalgia is too “hard” for me. With all-over muscle and joint pain, I no longer sleep well, and my shoulders and hips are very painful. I am looking for the same kind of support but with a very soft or plush feel, like sleeping on a cloud I guess. What would be your recommendation for a topper, or even a new bed configuration? I’m 5’3” at 125lb and have a split king on reverie adjustable base.
Hi craz4cakes and thanks for the inquiry! I think a 2" or 3" soft Talalay topper will be ideal! It’ll save some a bunch of money over buying a new mattress, and it should reduce or even eliminate your pressure point issues when sleeping on the mattress. Our Talalay toppers can eb viewed here - https://sleepez.com/product/natural-latex-topper/
Thank you so much. What would the difference be between 2” and 3”? Meaning would one be softer or more plush than another. And what ild would you recommend? Also, do you offer it in a Split King? My husband will want one as well.
The best way to summarize it would be to say that a 2” topper will make the mattress feel moderately softer and the 3” topper will make the mattress feel much softer. I recommend our soft topper for folks under 200 pounds, which is 19-22 ILD, and medium for folks between 200 - 300 pounds which is 28-30 ILD. A half of a king layer is a twin extra long layer, and we sell both king layers and twin XL layers, so no worries there!
Thank you!! I will share with my better half tomorrow. ![]()
It seems with fibromyalgia that 3" would be better than 2" but i could be wrong.
I also have fibromyalgia. I just bought a firm mattress with a medium Talalay topper. It’s perfect. You need the firm support but nothing too squishy on top. Get a 2 inch topper. Trust me. I spoke to the woman in Connecticut who manufactures all the Talalay toppers in this country. Her advice was spot on. Good luck.
What brand of topper do you use and what brand and type of mattress do you use? Are you a side sleeper and a back sleeper like me? What is the contact lady’s number bc I would love to talk to her. Thanks so much.
They just closed their plant a couple of months ago. It was called Global Latex. I bought my topper at Sleep on Latex. Medium. The mattress was bought at Mattress Makers in San Diego. Online and shipped. The owner is so nice and helpful. Soledad firm. Good luck.
