Upgrading from Queen to a King!

Looking to make the upgrade from queen to a king size mattress. Not looking to break the bank, but just wanted to hear some recommendations. I do personally sleep hot, so I do sleep with a fan.

Hi Razvi007 and welcome to the Mattress Underground

Remember any mattress you choose will be based on your Stats (height, BMI, sleeping position(s) and any underlying health conditions) and your PPP (Posture & alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences). No one can determine what mattress is most suitable for you - besides you!
What type of mattress do you currently have? And besides size, what issues are you having with it, or has it just come to the end if it’s ‘functional life’?

You may want to, if possible, visit some local showrooms and try out various types of mattresses, so you have a ‘short list’ and can then drill down to what’s best for your sleep profile. You mention sleeping hot, which means you might want to avoid memory foam, as by its’ nature it can keep perspiration and body heat closer to the skin. You can take a look at the the Mattress Specifications You Need To Know as well as the Mattress Durability Guidelines, to see what to look for and how different mattress materials hold up over time.

If you are planning on buying locally, you can take a look at our
Mattress Shopping Tutorial to see how to identify a great local retailer or manufacturer. If you are looking at online buying options, once you have considered what type of mattress and materials you might enjoy, the Trusted Members of the site carry many different types of mattresses at a variety of price points, and have all been vetted for quality, transparency in construction and components, excellent customer guidance and generous return and exchange policies.

If you find any specific mattresses you are interested in, and provide your Stats, we may be able to comment off the support and suitability for your body profile. Glad you’ve embarked on your journey to an ideal mattress, we wish you every success!
