I initially bought a hybrid latex dunlop latex with medium firmness. After going on vacation and sleeping on a bunch of the cheapest mattresses around, I came home to realize I was getting severe back pain from the dunlop. I realized my bedframe may have been sagging, so I did some repairs, and it became far too firm. I was waking up in a pretzel shape. I then got a talalay medium, and for a while, it was the same problem.
After a few weeks, it seems the springs gave way. The whole left side of my bed is extremely creaky and painful to sleep on. The middle is the most comfortable, but it is like a hammock. The right side is still extremely firm.
I feel like I’ve wasted a ton of money on a piece of crap. I don’t know if the springs are just garbage or if the foam is too firm or if latex just isn’t for me. I have no trouble on cheaper pillow top mattresses.
I’m unsure what my next best option is. I have a year comfort policy with them, with only a few months left. I would like to travel to the store but with a mix of chronic fatigue and a shitty mattress, that feels unlikely. I’m extremely unhappy with this situation.
I want to know why this thing seems to be falling apart so quickly, they claim it may be because of how it was packed for shipping, though I’m suspicious, and whether latex foam is even right for me.
