Where to try out Orthogel Mattresses?

Hi, I’m new to this forum. My husband & I are in the market for a new mattress. I wake up in pain every morning & I’m totally tired of it. We tried some of the generic memory foams, and generally liked the feeling, but I’m very curious about what the Orthogel mattresses feel like. I definitely wouldn’t buy a mattress without giving it a “test rest,” especially one made of a brand new concept such as this. I live in Hickory, NC, which is within driving distance of Charlotte, Asheville, Boone, Greensboro, and Winston Salem.

I also have a funny question. Is the Orthogel inside the honeycomb structure made of a liquid type gel, or is it more solid, rubbery type of material? We have cats who sometimes “knead” the mattress, and obviously don’t want to have a big problem if the gel can be punctured.

Thanks for helping!

Hi lizashaw,

Orthogel is the gel material that is used in the Nexgel mattresses made by Natura. They have a retail outlet finder on their site to help find the closest outlet. If this isn’t up to date, then the Natura retail outlet finder may be a good option (but I’d call first to make sure that any outlets listed carry the Nexgel). Hopefully one of these two is up to date.

The Orthogel is a foamed gel polymer material made from mineral oil and it’s a “solid rubbery material” with no liquid inside it. It’s also a very durable and strong although I’ve heard rumors that cats’ claws can destroy anything
