The information you provided on your mattress forum responses has been incredibly helpful - so thank you!! I was close to purchasing a Serta iComfort as I really liked the initial feel of the mattress, but after reading this thread (The Serta iComfort mattress ... what's the buzz - #176 by phoenix) I dont think I’ll be going that route given the concerns you outlined.
Other mattresses I liked were the Ethos Refresh Medium (coil/latex hybrid) and the Simmons NXG 200. Can you offer your feedback on these mattresses, and offer any other suggestions as to mattress layers to consider? I’m leaning more towards latex after reading several threads on this site.
Would you be able to recommend local mattress manufacturers in the San Jose, CA area? I am 5’9" 150 lbs and a back sleeper. The current mattress that I own is a bit soft which is giving me some lower back tightness which I am looking to alleviate.
